Am writing this because, I have a been part of educational institution from 4 years in the form of coaching in private academies, tuition, and some time in schools as a guest lecturer.
In the past 4 years, I have come across many parents, students, teachers, principals. Every one wants their student or child to score good marks or top the class. But the fact is they are "WRONG".
Let me Explain you..!!!!
The education system has merely change little from past a century in India and its has just thought all of us to prepare for Exams and top it.
Education has become as fashion of Mugging up all concepts, face exam and in-turn score marks.
It is same as, person eating food full stomach and vomiting the very next moments, I;e it means that food is just to fill stomach, with out even understanding that we eat food to attain energy, growth and normal functioning of human body. Now please come compare the situation with our education too, we the parents send our children to schools, collages for scoring good marks, with out understanding the purpose of education. No parents in this generation tells study to attain knowledge & skills. The fact is every parents every school, collage follows the conventional method, i;e Mug up - Write Well in EXAM & Score good Marks.
Let me tell you the life of Students with just Mugging up and student with knowledge -
Features of students with just Mugging up Skills-
- By-hearts every concepts with out understanding the concept.
- Read, writes only during exams.
- Very less chances of remembering those concepts for a long time.
- Good at only memorizing skill.
- Difficulty in writing exams as there are chances of confusion.
- At Exams, Can only attend to those questions which has been memorized.
- Difficulty in preparation for entrance exams as portions for entrance exams are from level 1.
- Difficulty in attending interview, as interview questions are usually based on understanding. and in-turn low possibility of getting Job.
- As posses less skill, chances of getting terminated from Job.
- Understand each concepts.
- As understood each concept, can make own answers or notes. Hence poses writing and reading skills.
- As understood concepts, can help friends in studies. Hence poses Communication and Presentation skills.
- No confusion in Exams. Can attend all questions. Note- If a Student has understood the concept 100% with out any confusions there are chances that student can score 100%. or atleast 80% of it.
- Hence always guarantee of getting good marks.
- Chances of remembering the concepts for a long time.
- Easily can prepare of Entrance Exams, Interviews.
- Guarantee of getting a job, as poses various skills like communication skills, Presentation skills, Etc.
- Chances of having a successful career.
In India, there are thousands of collages and every year & lakh students get out of collage in search of Job. And the main reason of unemployment in India is less poses of Skills. How can we learn and develop our skills when our education system teaches only to prepare for Exams, not for our future or career.
